Cellular Aging Habit Score

Researchers describe several "hallmarks of aging" inside cells, such as DNA damage, telomere shortening and mitochondrial changes. None can be measured with a questionnaire, and there is no clinical "cellular age" test. This page does not estimate one. It counts general habits with broad health evidence.

Before you start

Method : Cellular Aging Habit Score — a custom points score written by this site. Each answer adds or subtracts the points shown in the Methodology table below.

Validation : Unvalidated. The points have never been tested against any laboratory measurement or health outcome, and the result is not an age.

Review : not reviewed by a qualified clinician. Educational only — not a diagnosis or a medical test.

This score says nothing about disease. If you have symptoms that worry you, see a doctor.

Your answers stay in this browser tab; nothing is sent or stored.

Methodology & assumptions

Your score is the sum of the points below. The weights are our own judgement. The old version added made-up years for antioxidants, pollution, chronic illness and other answers and gave a "cellular age". Those were removed with the age output.

Worked examples

Smokes, little activity, under 6 h sleep, BMI 31, more than 14 units, sunburnt this year: 3 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 1 + 1 = +10 points.

Never smoked, active 3+ days, 7 h sleep, BMI 23, 14 units or fewer, no sunburn: 0 points.

Understanding your result

This counts habits you reported. It is not a cellular measurement and not an age. Health-agency guidance linked below is general and based on populations, not on this score.
