Immune Health Habit Score

Immune aging can only be studied with laboratory tests, and there is no standard "immune age" for individuals. This page does not estimate one. It counts general habits, including staying up to date with recommended vaccinations.

Before you start

Method : Immune Health Habit Score — a custom points score written by this site. Each answer adds or subtracts the points shown in the Methodology table below.

Validation : Unvalidated. The points have never been tested against any laboratory measurement or health outcome, and the result is not an age.

Review : not reviewed by a qualified clinician. Educational only — not a diagnosis or a medical test.

Frequent, severe or slow-to-clear infections should be discussed with a doctor, who can check for underlying causes.

Methodology & assumptions

Your score is the sum of the points below. The weights are our own judgement. The old version added years for illness frequency, autoimmune disease and allergies and gave an "immune age". Medical conditions need a doctor, not a score, so they were removed with the age output.

Worked examples

Behind on vaccinations, smokes, under 6 h sleep, little activity, more than 14 drinks a week, rarely eats fruit or vegetables: 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 1 = +9 points.

Up to date, never smoked, 7 h sleep, active, light drinking, fruit and vegetables most meals: 0 points.

Understanding your result

This counts habits you reported. It is not an immune measurement and not an age. Health-agency guidance linked below is general and based on populations, not on this score.
